 My niece was born with a heart problem too. Something didn't close up after birth.

 She had open heart surgery when she was 17 months old. She is now a healthy 23 year old soon-to-be teacher.

Yip-ee I can't wait for your lil man to get here. You could always trying walking to help quicken the labor to be a lil sooner. It helped me. But theres tons of way to try and help start labor.

it's been 29months since the first time we started to ttc, i had a 2 months break this year because the dr wanted me on bc to bring back cycles, but we start again next week:) so hopefully i'll be taking pictures like yours soon! i told my hubby when i get a positive i'll have to go buy like 15 more test just to be sure. he laughed. i said okay maybe that'd waste a lot of money, lol, but at least 5.

Is this your first baby? I ask because I read your last entry where you were talking about not wanting to push out a 10 lb baby. I had my first baby 11 months ago, and he was 10 lbs. AND I pushed him. I felt just like you. When the Dr's kept measuring me and saying he was going to be big, I would get so worried about how I was going to be able to push him out. Even when I did start pushing in the hospital I was asking the nurse "is it possible to push out a big baby if its your first?". Sure enough, he came out 3 hours later!!! 10 lbs in all. It's possible, so hopefully he/she doesnt weight that much, but if so, just letting you know you can do it!  

I'm due March 13 my doctor says. But i think I may be a lil father along then he says. We'll find out when we get to do an ultra sound.

i still have my positive pregnancy test from paige.   i was so thrilled. 

i was so worried about you after the loss of isaac (i hope i spelled it right).  i was worried for your mental stability, worried for your marriage.  i was probably as happy as anyone in your family to read your "i'm pregnant" entry.   you're gonna be such a great mom and i can't wait to see pics of little carson.

good luck with the g.b test. hopefully he won't be to big for you to handle.

I never really had my ankels swell but my mom did. She cut back on her salt and it helped a lil with alot of rest. But when you feel sick but are really hungry you can just try a bunch of small snacks like crackers or toast something low in sodium to help prevent heart burn. It's stuff I did. It might help you. Also mints and warm tea saved me my last month of being pregnate. If I think of anything else I'll tell you.

i love this entry entirely. it's good to see that God needed Isaac and you needed Carson. you don't need to feel guilty Isaac is in heaven, and he wants you to be happy. think of it as he sent you Carson because he knew that is what you need for you to have happiness in your life.

i have had 4 miscarriages in my life[once twins], i have never made it past 11w6d. every time i get pregnant i am exceedingly happy, but terrified because i know my body doesn't work properly. my last loss was the hardest because my husband and i had planned the baby. i know early losses are much easier[if loosing a children be easy] then later ones like your was. but i know how hard it is to lose the only thing important to you. it's been 2 years and i am still childless. i have random crying spells and just couldn't seem to get past it. this past month God has changed something inside me. i know he's going to give me a child and i know that he took my other ones for a reason. reading your entry put my losses in to prospective. and has motivated me to never forget, but not dwell on the negatives and focus on the future. i just wanted to thank you for posting such a heartfelt entry.

remember at about 36 weeks, it's start to be a tight fit in there, so they're not able to do the crazy gymnastics they used to.  your doctor's right (obviously) as long as you're feeling SOME movement, you're okay.  i can see why you'd be an anxious mother though.

i cannot imagine being 9 months pregnant in the middle of summer.  i had paige at the end of may, and got pregnant the beginning of september...by the time i even knew i was pregnant, it was october.  i completely missed being pregnant in the summer.  it was bliss!  in fact, the day after i had her was the first really hot day of the year!

congrats hon. i've read you diary here and there but never left any comments. i wanted to tell you i am happy for you.

One of the nurses at my OB clinic said they use numbing medication now when they circumcise them. I have gained 40 pounds. I haven't dropped that low yet I don't think. I have carried high the whole time.

Wow my belly never got that big but that is very rubable. I love rubbing bellies. even mine when im pregnate.

They say your 1st is usually right at your due date. My mom had my brother on time and I was a week late. I was the second kid. Are you getting him circumcised? We are getting ours...I worry about the healing process though.

Thats really sad to hear about your cousin. I couldnt imagine having a baby in the NICU. I had a friend who went through that and she bought a hospital room so she could stay with her baby. Expensive!

But its okay that you wish Carson was here. You've waited a long time for a healthy baby, of course you cant wait to see him! And I know you've got to be so uncomfortable. He will be here soon enough! Just stay positive!

I know how I felt being pregnant with my oldest ...he turned 25 this past Tuesday... My ankles would swell from the heat. It was horrible.

thanks for your comment, but i think the last thing i would do right now would be to leave my rowdy toddler with you.  you're so pregnant.  i remember that stage of pregnancy, and the last thing i would've wanted ot be doing is chasing a toddler around!  but it's sweet anyways.

Do they have the lbs on the diapers? The hospital put Gavin in 8-14lb diapers even though he was smaller than that. Just make sure its tight so it doesnt leak! I learned that the hard way lol

Take more pics of the nursery! I finally get to set one up when we move but unfortunately most of the baby furnature is at my moms. lol

it's so nice to hear about someone who's so ready for a child.  i'm so happy for you gys.  i'm sure i've said it before, but i'll say it again, no one deserves a child like you guys do. 

and don't worry about all the clothes....he WILL wear them.    i got an insane amount of clothes like that too.  she got an outfit for her baby shower that i was only able to put on her this year!  it's been sitting in her closet for 2 years!  you'll forget what you even have for him by the time you get that far!

Hi there Chas... Wow... lots of entries to catch up on. I'm sooo sorry to hear your in-laws are not being very nice right now. The good thing is that Billy is supporting you through all of it.

I do not blame you for feeling the way you do but...do not let them ruin this wonderful time for you. Just ignore them. I know it's hard being Billy's family and wanting everything to be happy and loving but... remember it's not you. Sounds like your sister in law is completely jealous.

I never got the midnight cravings. lol once I was asleep I was pretty much OUT. I have noticed that even the day after I had him my appetite was totally different. They really do suck the nutrients right out of you!

oh, and you must've missed that entry.  i'm not pregnant.  got my period about a week and a half ago.  i guess we'll see how my homrones go this month, and if i don't get a period, we're going to talk to a fertility specialist.

You better post pics of the ultrasound! It was so cool to see Gavin making the same little facial expressions he did in the womb. His pictures dont look quite the same as he does but I can tell its him. I bet Carson is going to be so handsome!

I bet you're still a cute pregnant lady, even when you dont feel like it. Go ahead and buy yourself something you feel good in. The end of pregnancy is the longest and it might do you some good to be able to get dressed up every now and then. I noticed that when labor hit I had a LOT of water retention, especially in my face. I've noticed a couple other people seem to go through the same thing, but the good news is that it all went away within a week after i had him (even though during that first week my ankles, feet, and legs were even more swollen than during pregnancy)

 You and Billy need to tell his mother upfront how things are going to be now that his dad is back in his life. If she doesn't like it then that is her problem.

 Billy's dad sounds like a great guy, you two just enjoy him. He will be a good grandfather to Carson.

   I'm so glad that you talked him into having contact with his dad...I can tell his dad loves him alot and I am sure that he greived his absense for all of the years they were apart.  That would break my heart!

   I'm sorry that his mom is behaving in this vengeful and unloving way and causing stress to you both. I know this puts you in a bad spot.

    I guess she would go crazy if you told her that you prefer not to discuss the father with her.

   She really should not be putting you all through this...She doesn't sound like a very nice person.

Wow! How incredibly sad she kept your hub away from his Dad... she took something that he can never get back... from both men... shame on her! It's obvious she has some major issues working on a 7th marriage... WOW! I wish you the very best with this situation... you don't need ANY more stress than what you're dealing with carrying that baby... I hope that you do include his Dad at time of delivery... she will have to deal or NOT deal with it but shame on her for trying to dictate to you and Billy, she sounds like a spoiled brat... I used to sleep 10+ hours in a night so I completely understand. it definitely was an adjustment but I'm starting to get more used to it. Just make sure you sleep whenever Carson sleeps, especially those first few days. It didnt take too long before I started to be able to tell when was a good time to have some "me" time and when I should sleep, but the first couple of nights you can use all the rest you can get! Dont try to keep yourself awake during the day because you'll regret it in the middle of the night. I hated trying to sleep so often but I really needed it because he keeps me busy most often at night. I just try to remind myself that I'm not working over the summer because THIS is supposed to be my job.

Honestly, breastfeeding has its challenges... a lot of them. I knew going into it that many women have a hard time with it, so i mentally prepared myself for it. The main problem usually isn't the woman, its the baby that has to learn how to breastfeed.
In the hospital, they have lactation consultants to help you with getting the babies latched on. They will be able to teach you how to know when you're baby is hungry before it cries (which by the time the baby cries its usually harder to feed) and will also teach you how to get the babies to latch on which can be really tricky. The two pieces of advice I want to give you if you want to try breastfeeding is 1. in the hospital they will try to get you to make the baby feed every 3 hours. Theres no real medical reason to make a baby feed on a schedule and this can get particularly frustrating because most babies dont WANT to feed so often the first few days. So, if baby wants to sleep instead of eat, thats okay. Save yourself the frustration by accepting it. Carson will let you know when he's hungry. The second piece of advice, buy lanisoh or the cheaper off-brand Lanolin (I use lanolin and its just fine). Its a nipple cream and I swear by it. He had trouble latching on my right side and it got SO sore I didn't feed him from it for an entire day. I bought that cream and it worked wonders.

I'm pretty amazed at how much I've learned already. Even by the time I came home from the hospital I felt more comfortable feeding him by myself, without the nurses help. If you want to do it, its great. It really does help you bond even though it can be frustrating for both you and your partner that you're the ONLY one who can feed him. So, it has its pro's and con's.
